Article 1.º

Presentation

  1. The 3rd Edition of the AproXima-te Award is designated as Merit and Excellence, and its execution is subject to validation by the funder.

  2. The awarding of the AproXima-te — Merit and Excellence Prize is an initiative of Plano AproXima, the Social Responsibility Department of Classificados X, hereinafter referred to in this Regulation as the “Organization”.

  3. Plano AproXima is the entity responsible for organizing the award, promoting it, receiving votes, and publishing the results.

  4. The funder of the AproXima-te award is Classificados X.

  5. By awarding this prize, the Organization commits to financially supporting projects that provide services to sex workers and clients of paid sex.

  6. The winning entities will be selected through an online public vote.

 

Article 2.º

Purpose

  1. The purpose of this Regulation is to define the rules for voting, promotion, and awarding of the AproXima-te — Merit and Excellence Prize.

  2. The procedures for selecting the winners through online voting, as well as the associated prizes, are defined herein.

 

Article 3.º

Objective and Scope

  1. The associations participating in the competition are partner associations of Plano AproXima, targeting sex workers and other vulnerable subpopulations.

  2. The three associations with the highest number of votes at the end of the voting period will be recognized.

  3. The winning entities will be notified by email and phone call by November 6, 2023.

  4. The announcement of the winners will take place on November 10 at the in-person event organized by Plano AproXima, as well as on the social media and institutional channels of Plano AproXima and Classificados X.

  5. The prize will be presented in person, if agreed upon by the parties, on November 10, 2023, to the representative(s) or coordinator(s) of the winning entities.

Article 4.º

Entities in Competition

  1. The associations submitted for voting will include all partner entities of Plano AproXima listed in the official mapping on the website, totaling 24 entities:

    7. Associação Plano I
    8. Associação Portuguesa para a Prevenção e Desafio à SIDA – SER+
    9. Associação Positivo – Red Light
    10. Bússola- Casa do Povo de Fermentões
    11. Cáritas Diocesana de Coimbra
    12. Centro Comunitário de Esmoriz – Dá a volta
    13. Crescer – Associação de Intervenção Comunitária
    14. SMACTE (Serviço Móvel de Apoio à Comunidade)
    15. Florinhas do Vouga

  1. Delegations, projects, or units of an entity will not be considered separate entities.

  2. In the form, entities will be listed alphabetically.

  3. The entities correspond to private non-profit institutions and civil society organizations of regional or local scope, providing direct services in Continental Portugal or the Autonomous Regions to sex workers.

Article 5.º

Online Voting

  1. The official public announcement of the opening of voting for the AproXima-te Prize will take place on July 2, 2023.

  2. Voting submissions will take place from August 2, 2023, to October 30, 2023.

  3. Votes must be submitted online via the application form on this page. Promotion will occur on the Plano AproXima website, Instagram, and Facebook, as well as on Classificados X’s Blog X.

  4. Participation requires being of legal age and entering the date of birth in the application form.

  5. The application form allows only one response per person. Therefore, a Gmail account and Google login are required at the time of submission. This ensures the form can be tracked and prevents duplicate votes.

  6. After submitting the form, each person must vote for 3 different associations.

 

Article 6.º

Counting and Validation of Votes

  1. The evaluation of votes is the responsibility of a jury composed of three members, appointed by the Organization, directly connected to the organizing entity and knowledgeable of the points defined in this regulation.

  2. Once the voting process is completed, votes will be counted, and the winners will be determined.

  3. Each vote in the form must select 3 different associations. Responses choosing the same association three times will be excluded from the final count.

  4. The Winning Organization corresponds to the entity with the highest number of votes, Second Place corresponds to the entity with the second-highest number of votes, and Honorable Mention corresponds to the entity with the third-highest number of votes.

  5. In the event of a tie, the jury will decide the awarding of prizes.

 

Article 7.º

Exclusion Criteria for Votes

  1. Forms without a date of birth will not be considered by the jury.

  2. Votes submitted outside the voting period will not be evaluated.

 

Article 8.º

Prizes

  1. The prizes consist of financial support for the winning applications and are distributed as follows:

  • The Winning Organization will receive €10,000.
  • Second Place will receive €3,000.
  • Honorable Mention will receive €2,000.
  1. Financial support will be provided via bank transfer after the prize is announced and accepted, on a date agreed upon by the parties.

  2. For the prize to be awarded, each winning entity must issue a receipt to the funder corresponding to the prize amount.

Article 9.º

Publication of Results

  1. Final results will first be communicated to the winners via email and phone by November 9, 2023.

  2. The official announcement will take place on November 10 through the Organization’s communication channels, including the official Plano AproXima website, Instagram, Facebook, and Classificados X’s Blog X.

Article 10.º

Confidentiality

  1. The Organization ensures complete confidentiality of the information provided in the voting form, as well as any other information shared during the voting process.
