Plano AproXima organizes regular events to highlight the voices and experiences of sex workers. These events foster dialogue, raise awareness, and promote social inclusion while reducing stigma.
Through conferences and seminars, such as the PAR events, we create spaces for inclusive dialogue and discussion about sex work and the realities experienced by sex workers.
All events organized by Plano AproXima aim primarily to challenge existing prejudices and stigma, fostering greater societal acceptance and integration of this population, thereby improving their quality of life.
Since 2023, Plano AproXima has been organized PAR events to join forces with other associations across the country, promoting the social integration of sex workers and creating spaces for discussion and dialogue about the challenges faced by this population.
Despite progress over the past decades, much remains to be done to achieve genuine acceptance of sex workers, free from prejudice and stigma that often marginalizes them, rendering their experiences invisible in everyday life. In this context, the AproXima Plan brings together various partners to debate these issues, always with the goal of improving the quality of life for sex workers.
Each edition focuses on a relevant and timely theme, featuring panel discussions, World Café sessions, and presentations that encourage critical thinking.
PAR events provide a unique opportunity for gathering, dialogue, and collective building. They involve the participation of risk-reduction professionals, researchers, students, and community members to reflect on participatory practices, active citizenship, and social intervention.
With the essential support of partners such as APDES and many others, these conferences have established themselves as spaces for sharing experiences, exchanging knowledge, and strengthening collaborative networks.
