AproXima-te Award 2026

Regulations

Article 1

Introduction

  1. The 6th edition of the AproXima-te Award is entitled “Care without Barriers: Innovation, Decentralisation and Autonomy”.
  2. The AproXima-te Award is an initiative of Plano AproXima, the Social Responsibility Department of Classificados X, hereinafter referred to as the “Organisation” in these Rules.
  3. Plano AproXima is the body responsible for organising the award and for all stages of the process.
  4. The AproXima-te Award is funded by Classificados X.
  5. Information about the Award will be published on Plano AproXima’s official website, Instagram and Facebook pages, and on Classificados X’s Blog X.
  6. The official launch of the AproXima-te Award will be announced on 8 June 2026.
  7. The winners will be announced on 23 October 2026 via the communication channels of Plano AproXima and Classificados X.
  8. The awards ceremony will take place at the PAR 2026 event.

Article 2

Prizes

  1. The prizes on offer, totalling €32,000, consist of financial support for the four winning organisations and are distributed as follows:
    • 1st Prize — €14,000 for the organisation with the highest score in the application.  
    • 1st Honourable Mention — €5,000 for the organisation selected by Plano AproXima.
    • 2nd Prize — €8,000 for the organisation receiving the most votes from Classificados X advertisers.
    • 2nd Honourable Mention — €5,000 for the organisation selected by Plano AproXima.

2. The prize money will be paid by bank transfer, following the announcement of the results and acceptance of the prize, on a date agreed between the parties.

3. For the purposes of payment of the prize, each of the winning organisations must issue the funding body with a donation receipt for an amount corresponding to the prize awarded.

Article 3

Object

  1. This Regulation sets out the rules applicable to the Prize, namely:

a) Rules applying to the 1st Prize;
b) Rules applying to the 2nd Prize;
 c) Criteria and procedures for selecting the 1st and 2nd honourable mentions;
 d) General provisions.

Article 4

Selection of the First Prize

Submission of applications

  1. The theme of the 2026 AproXima-te Award is ‘Care without barriers: innovation, decentralisation and autonomy’, and this will be a central element in the assessment of applications.
  2. Organisations must submit projects that address inequalities in access to healthcare faced by sex workers, with a particular focus on the decentralisation of care, innovation in healthcare responses and the promotion of autonomy and dignity.
  3. Applications must set out how the prize money will be used to implement activities, campaigns or other interventions that strengthen access to healthcare, the prevention of HIV and other STIs, and community work.
  4. Awards will be given to organisations, projects or community-based groups that provide essential services to sex workers; however, projects that simultaneously address the vulnerabilities of other sub-populations will be given particular consideration.
  5. Applications must be submitted between 8 June 2026 and 25 September 2026 using the application form.
  6. Each organisation or delegation may submit more than one application, provided they relate to different projects. In the event of multiple submissions, only the latest version submitted will be considered.
  7. Online application:

a) The Organisation accepts no responsibility for applications submitted after the deadline. . 

b) For the purposes of registering and tracking applications, interested organisations must have a Gmail account and be logged into their Google account when completing the form, to avoid duplicate applications.

c) Submission of applications implies acceptance of the rules set out in these Regulations.

8. Eligible applicants are non-profit civil society organisations, groups or entities that carry out direct work with sex workers in mainland Portugal or the Autonomous Regions.

9. Entities belonging to the National Health Service or central or regional public health administration bodies are not eligible.

Article 5

Assessment of the 1st Prize

  1. Applications will be assessed by an independent panel, which will have access to anonymised applications. The final ranking will be determined by the weighted sum of the various parameters. Items not addressed in the general assessment criteria will be awarded 0 points.

    The project with the highest score will be declared the winner.

    In the event of a tie, the following tie-breaking criteria will be applied, in order:

a) Participation and involvement of PTS

b) Collaboration and Networking

Should the tie persist, the panel will carry out a joint re-evaluation of the tied applications.

2. Assessment grid

Each member of the jury will award marks for the parameters on a scale of 0 to 3, based on the elements presented, with 0 being the minimum mark and 3 the maximum.

3. Applications will be assessed by an independent panel comprising individuals with a range of backgrounds and relevant experience in the relevant fields.

4. Successful applicants will be notified by email and telephone by 20 October 2026.

Article 6

Selection of the 2nd Prize

  1. The 2nd Prize will be awarded via a public online vote on the Classificados X platform. The project with the highest number of valid votes will be declared the winner.
  2. Voting will take place between 2 June 2026 and 14 October 2026; only advertisers with an active account for more than 6 months are eligible.
  3. The 31 partner organisations of the AproXima Plan as of 30 May 2026, listed in the directory available on Plano AproXima website, are eligible to enter the competition

4. For the purposes of voting on the website, each organisation is considered a single entry; its branches or local groups are not treated as separate organisations.

5. Organisations will be listed on the form in random order, with this order being reset for each round of voting.

6. The entry form on the Classificados X website will be limited to one response per person.

7. The organisation winning the 2nd Prize will be notified by email and telephone by 20 October 2026.

8. The winners of the online vote will be announced on 23 October 2026 via the communication channels of Plano AproXima and Classificados X.

9. In the event of a tie, it will be up to Plano AproXima to award the prize to one of the organisations with the most votes.

Article 7

Honourable Mention Award

  1. Honourable Mentions will be awarded by Plano AproXima to projects which, whilst not having won the 1st or 2nd Prizes, stand out for their impact, relevance and contribution to the programme’s objectives.
  2. The winning organisations will be notified by email and telephone by 20 October 2026.
  3. The winner will be revealed to the general public on the Plano AproXima and Blog X communication channels.

Article 8

Exclusion criteria

  1. The jury will not consider entries for the 1st Prize that:

a) Are submitted after the competition deadline;

b) Are submitted by entities that do not meet the criteria set out in Article 4(8) of these Rules and that do not have legal personality.

2. Online votes submitted outside the competition period will not be considered for the 2nd Prize.

3. The jury may decide not to award the 1st Prize to projects whose submitted entries do not meet the required standard of quality.

Article 9

Publication of results

The winners will be notified of the results by 20 October 2026.

The results will be announced publicly on 23 October 2026 via the official channels of Plano AproXima and Classificados X.

Article 10

Confidentiality

The Organisation shall ensure the complete confidentiality of the information provided on the voting form and the application form, as well as any other information shared during the voting processes.
