The AproXima Plan is a project supporting sex workers, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, nationality, or social background.

We take a non-judgmental and prejudice-free approach to sex work, as we believe that everyone who chooses this profession is self-determined and should be guaranteed equal opportunities and fundamental rights.

Mission

Plano AproXima is committed to promoting the well-being of people who have chosen sex work as their profession, working to ensure equity in access to fundamental rights.

Vision

Plano AproXima aims to contribute to society's respect for any self-determined adult who freely and informedly chooses sex work as a professional activity.

This vision will be reflected in a reduction in the stigma surrounding sex workers and in the possibility for these individuals to be more active agents of change in their professional careers and life choices.

Principles

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set out in the United Nations 2030 Agenda provide targets to be achieved with the contribution of various organizations toward a vision of sustainability and inclusion.

In this context, Plano AproXima is committed to implementing activities and objectives that contribute to a more sustainable and inclusive future, promoting prosperity and well-being for all.

Cooperation and Development

  1. Promote networking among public, private, and civil society organizations operating nationally and providing services to sex workers.
  2. Support the improvement of organizations that offer services to sex workers by providing economic and technical resources.

We are committed to the following SDGs

SDG 16.6 – Develop effective, accountable, and transparent institutions at all levels.

SDG 16.7 – Ensure inclusive, participatory, and representative decision-making at all levels.

SDG 16.a – Strengthen relevant national institutions, including through international cooperation, to enhance capacity at all levels, particularly in developing countries, for preventing violence and combating terrorism and crime.

SDG 17.17 – Encourage and promote effective public, public-private, and civil society partnerships, drawing on the experience of resource mobilization strategies from these partnerships.

3. Promote personalized, close follow-up for each individual, tailored to their needs.

4. Promote free and quality access to information and community services for all people (regardless of age, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, ethnicity, class, nationality, migration status, religion, etc.):

a.  Contributing to the fight against HIV/AIDS, hepatitis, and other sexually transmitted infections in the field of sexual and reproductive health;

b. To promote the prevention and treatment of drug and alcohol abuse;

c. Ensuring access to medical consultations, medications, and vaccines;

d. Providing mental health support.

We are committed to the following SDGs

SDG 3.3 – End the epidemics of AIDS, tuberculosis, malaria, and neglected tropical diseases, and combat hepatitis, water-borne diseases, and other communicable diseases by 2030.

SDG 3.5 – Strengthen the prevention and treatment of substance abuse, including drug abuse and harmful use of alcohol.

SDG 3.7 – Ensure universal access to sexual and reproductive health services, including family planning, information, and education, as well as the integration of reproductive health into national strategies and programs by 2030.

SDG 3.8 – Achieve universal health coverage, including financial risk protection, access to quality essential health services, and access to safe, effective, quality, and affordable essential medicines and vaccines for all.

SDG 5.6 – Ensure universal access to sexual and reproductive health and reproductive rights, in accordance with the Programme of Action of the International Conference on Population and Development and the Beijing Platform for Action, and the outcomes of their review conferences.

5. Promote the working conditions that people involved in the sex industry consider essential for working with dignity.

We are committed to the following SDGs

SDG 8.5 – Achieve full and productive employment and decent work for all women and men, including young people and persons with disabilities, and ensure equal pay for work of equal value by 2030.

SDG 8.8 – Protect labor rights and promote safe and secure working environments for all workers, including migrant workers—particularly women migrants—and those in precarious employment.

SDG 10.3 – Ensure equal opportunities and reduce inequalities of outcomes, including by eliminating discriminatory laws, policies, and practices, and promoting appropriate legislation, policies, and actions in this regard.

SDG 10.4 – Implement policies, particularly in the areas of taxation, wages, and social protection, to progressively achieve greater equality.

6. Promote social justice and ensure the universal rights of sex workers, regardless of their identity categories (gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, ethnicity, class, nationality, migration status, religion, etc.).

7. Promote the fight against sexual exploitation, human trafficking, and other forms of violence within the sex industry.

We are committed to the following SDGs

SDG 1.2 – Reduce by at least half the proportion of men, women, and children of all ages living in poverty in all its dimensions, according to national definitions, by 2030.

SDG 1.3 – Implement nationally appropriate social protection measures and systems for all, including floors, and achieve substantial coverage of the poorest and most vulnerable by 2030.

SDG 3.7 – Ensure universal access to sexual and reproductive health services, including family planning, information, and education, as well as integration of reproductive health into national strategies and programs by 2030.

SDG 3.8 – Achieve universal health coverage, including financial risk protection, access to quality essential health services, and access to safe, effective, quality, and affordable essential medicines and vaccines for all.

SDG 4.3 – Ensure equal access for all men and women to quality technical, vocational, and higher education, including university, at an affordable cost by 2030.

SDG 4.4 – Substantially increase the number of youth and adults with relevant skills, including technical and vocational skills, for employment, decent work, and entrepreneurship by 2030.

SDG 4.7 – Ensure that all learners acquire the knowledge and skills needed to promote sustainable development by 2030, including through education for sustainable development and sustainable lifestyles, human rights, gender equality, promotion of a culture of peace and non-violence, global citizenship, and appreciation of cultural diversity and the contribution of culture to sustainable development.

SDG 5.1 – End all forms of discrimination against all women and girls everywhere.

SDG 5.2 – Eliminate all forms of violence against all women and girls in public and private spheres, including trafficking and sexual and other forms of exploitation.

SDG 5.6 – Ensure universal access to sexual and reproductive health and reproductive rights, in accordance with the Programme of Action of the International Conference on Population and Development, the Beijing Platform for Action, and the outcomes of their review conferences.

SDG 5.b – Enhance the use of enabling technologies, in particular information and communications technologies, to promote women’s empowerment.

SDG 8.5 – Achieve full and productive employment and decent work for all women and men, including young people and persons with disabilities, and ensure equal pay for work of equal value by 2030.

SDG 8.7 – Take immediate and effective measures to eradicate forced labor, end modern slavery and human trafficking, and secure the prohibition and elimination of the worst forms of child labor, including recruitment and use of child soldiers, and eliminate child labor in all its forms by 2025.
